This part contains mostly his observations and thoughts and I found it quite compelling. Reading this text, one would think that engineering is about plugging numbers into formulas. SL lovers will find Meredith's book fun to read for the pictures alone. Future restorers beware.. Unfortunately, it is also an area that accounts for a large chunk of divorces. I have several other books on this subject and I still found it very practical and informative. Not that I'm anti modern medicine – thankfully chemo kept me alive, and pain meds keep me moving, but there's much to be learned from the past that without books such as this could get lost. Alchemy to me is the straw into gold, search for immortal life type of thing, and yet in this book we see its far more, that there are real scientific bases to the use of crystals, metals and the like in medicines. Andrew takes the reader on an amazing Alchemical Journey! This one will keep me inspired and busy for years to come!. A fast paced biography; reads like a "Who Dun-it" thriller. It really helps stick to the diet and, with my personal belief that you should have no cheat days -- because then it's not a diet, that goes a long way when you've been eating Brussels sprouts and onions for a week straight with no end in sight.
