The claims are not supported.I cannot recommend this book to beginners in the field because of the confusing organization of the topic. I had read Barbara Kingsolver's more recent books and loved them, but had somehow missed this classic when it first came out. I had gotten a copy from the library to review before I made the purchase and the original printing was all color. A real deep disappointment. One is the interesting and complex relationship that Bonifatius developed with Augustine of Hippo and the influence that the latter exercised upon him at least for a period.
